Presentation scheduled for early 2021 for the documentary on Daniel Cordier, Fou d´art (Crazy for art). This 120-minute film, started in 2011, retraces the exceptional career of Daniel Cordier. After joining General de Gaulle’s Free French Forces in London at the age of 17 and fighting alongside Jean Moulin and the Resistance forces in Lyon, he ultimately devoted himself to art from 1945 onwards. First a painter and collector, he opened his first gallery in Paris in 1956 and New York in 1960. He participated in the creation of the Pompidou Centre, of which he became one of its biggest donors. He celebrated his centennial birthday on August 10, 2020 and has kept his capacities for wonder and enthusiasm intact.
